Disney Cruise
Yes it’s only really for those with kids, or people who are strangely fascinated by Disney characters. You may not have immediately considered a cruise but it’s a great add-on to a few days at a Disney World. We think this is a better alternative than spending a whole week at the theme parks. The cruises start from Port Canaveral, which is just about an hour from Orlando. You don’t even have to do a week, there are four night cruises which can be more suitable for those not convinced about ever doing a cruise.
The ship sails at night and docks in the day, various itineraries around the Caribbean with a different island each day, one of which is their own island ‘Castaway Key’, a great day on the beach with the full Disney experience. Dinning on board is in a different themed restaurant every night, but for consistency, it’s always the same table number and waiting staff. Activities are constant, with every event on two to three times a day so there is nothing to miss, with lots of shows and events, as well as screening of new movies. There is a separate kid’s pool, a shared one and an adults only too. Kiddy clubs for all ages including teenage dens. With smaller children there are pagers available for mum n dad. All the railings are very high with Perspex screens. There is an adult only restaurant and a Spa. The ship is full of Disney characters and has a wonderful atmosphere.
If you’ve never cruised before, then one novelty you may not be aware of is the feeling of being able to go out every night without any hassle. The Disney ships also sail from the West Coast and around Europe in the summer.
We would be delighted to discuss with you integrating this into a trip
